Former Probability chair and Scotbet founder joins Empire Global

Empire Global Corporation, the investment fund which operates the Italian iGaming brand Newgioco and retail business Multigioco, has appointed Scotbet founder and former Probability chairman Graham Martin as its new vice president of international development.

The appointment sees Martin join the company’s board and assume responsibility for attracting high calibre talent and financial capital to the business as it looks to expand into new territories.

With more than three decades’ experience in the gaming industry, Martin has founded a number of companies, perhaps most notably Bonne Terre Ltd, which is now operating as Sky Betting and Gaming. He also helped ensure passage of the first Offshore Gaming Law in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which led to the establishment of one of the first legal offshore iGaming jurisdictions.

As founder of Scotbet, Martin established Scotland’s largest retail bookmaking business and also served as chairman of mobile games developer Probability. He has also worked for the likes of Groupe Partouche, heading up its interactive division, and is currently chairman of NetBet.

He currently serves on the board of Australian gaming business Cardinal House and the Hong Kong-based Catalyst Gaming Corporation.

“I am delighted that Graham embraced our vision and has joined our team in developing our global online gaming business,” Empire chairman and chief executive Michele Ciavarella said.

“Empire will draw from his vast expertise and knowledge, building on our established operations in Italy.

“Having Graham on our bench adds substantial dynamic to Empire’s growth potential,” he added. “I have no doubt that Graham’s contributions will quickly prove to be highly valuable in executing our goals and objectives.”
