TonyBet player has £655 in winnings confiscated

tonybetimageA TonyBet Sportsbook (SBR rating D) player has filed a payout complaint.

The player joined TonyBet and deposited £100 in exchange for a 50% bonus.

The player met the requisite rollover amount and then asked for a payout in the amount of £755, which is where things took a turn for the worse.

Following some back and forth, TonyBet refunded the player’s deposit only and accused the player of failing their verification checks associated with their Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

The player is adamant that her documents are true and genuine, and that she placed all sports bets on her account without the assistance of others. Sometimes, female sports bettors are unfairly targeted by online sportsbooks due to the suspicion that they are acting on behalf of a banned spouse or relative.

Sportsbook Review has followed up with the Estonia based online betting site to discuss the merits of the dispute.

TonyBet was removed from the blacklist with their rating adjustment from D- to D on November 11, but the status is contingent on fair handling of player disputes and recognition of the industry standard when actioning player disputes.
