The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has appointed Jorn Starck as its new executive director, following the departure of André Wilsenach earlier this month.
Wilsenach opted to step down as executive director of the regulatory body to take up a new role with the International Centre for Gaming Regulation (ICGR) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Starck joined the AGCC in 2007 and has most recently been serving as director of regulatory operations.
“With the strong relationships I already have with industry, government and other stakeholders, together with the support of the commissioners and a very experienced team around me, I am very confident about the future of Alderney as an e-gambling jurisdiction,” Starck said.
AGCC chairman Lord Richard Faulkner added: “It was an easy decision to promote from within, and we are confident that under Jorn’s leadership the AGCC will continue from strength to strength.
“Jorn has already, over many years, been a key player in the AGCC’s success as an e-gambling regulator, and we are excited about this new chapter in the AGCC’s story.”
