Armenia is to introduce new regulations regarding the advertisement of online gambling on television, radio and other media in the country.
According to Armenpress, 91 MPs voted in favour of making changes to the Law of the Republic of Armenia on ‘Gambling and Casinos’ and ‘Advertising’.
Advertising of online gambling, casinos and other types of games will now only be allowed where the games are advertised directly by game centres or if they are placed in the country’s border entry points or in hotels that have a minimum rating of four stars.
Lawmakers in the country said the change in regulation will help form a unified approach to the advertising of gambling in Armenia, as well as protect its citizens from gambling-related harm.
