Sports and betting-related services company Sportradar has entered into a new partnership with the Federazione Italiana Rugby (FIR), the governing body for rugby union in Italy.
Under the three-year agreement, the Sportradar Security Service will provide its Fraud Detection System and Fraud Prevention Services to the Eccellenza, the top division of club rugby in Italy, as well as the 10 teams that compete in the league.
Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System will monitor 450 betting operators and flag up any suspicious betting patterns and behaviours with the FIR.
In addition, the Fraud Prevention Services will ensure that Eccellenza clubs send their players, coaches and managers to various training courses that highlight the dangers of fraud and match-fixing in professional sport.
