TonyBet player sits in penalty box for 5 weeks counting

tonybetimageA TonyBet Sportsbook (SBR rating D) player has filed a complaint.

The player registered with the online betting site five weeks ago to wager on the Champions League.

Within a day, his account access was disabled. He asked why via email, and was told that he needed to go through the Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

The player was asked to provide his ID and a copy of a utility bill. He sent the documentation, but more than a month and over a dozen emails later he remains in the dark on when his account access will be restored.

He holds a €3,000 balance and has become concerned that he will not be paid, and feels at the very least he should be allowed to log-in and place bets. It is not unusual for betting sites to freeze player’s accounts so to speak to prevent them from running up a larger balance while they are being verified, and in fact it is a good practice; however, five weeks to check two documents is unreasonable.

Sportsbook Review has asked TonyBet management for comment on the amount of time the player has sat waiting to access his account.

TonyBet is an Estonia based online gambling site.

TonyBet bettors in need of assistance are asked to submit a sportsbook complaint form.
