A BetOwi Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player has filed a payout complaint.
The player holds a current balance of $4,575 with the Costa Rica based online betting site.
He has a total of five unpaid withdrawals dating back to 2 December 2015. He claims that although the funds have been deducted from his betting account no funds have been received.
The player has noted that the only payout requests he’s been able to get approved are through person-to-person options.
The five unpaid withdrawals are all by way of bitcoin.
SBR has reported that SportsBettingOnline (a sister sportsbook to BetOwi) as well as BetOwi players have complained about bitcoin delays recently. Staff has acknowledged processing delays around peak times but has not provided a clear time-line on when bitcoin payouts will be back to normal speed.
SBR has asked for an update.
