A MarathonBet player has claimed that his account was blocked with a €1,000 balance.
He provided a series of photos upon MarathonBet’s request holding each of his documents in view of his face, including his passport and utility bill.
The player has said despite complying with each of the requests, his account was suspended by the sports betting site.
It is not uncommon for sportsbooks to suspend accounts upon receipt of documents while performing an investigation or after concluding the documents are forged, however, typically players at least receive their deposit back along with some notice of permanent account closure.
In this case, the player is in the dark, has not received his deposited funds back, and is unsure what is going on. SBR has asked the player if he is able to have his documents notarized, as this can sometimes help resolve identity dispuites.
Sportsbook Review has asked MarathonBet for an update.
MarathonBet players in need of assistance are asked to submit a sportsbook complaint form.
