A Rivalo Sportsbook (SBR rating D-) player has claimed that €3,500 in winnings accumulated this past weekend have been confiscated.
The player has claimed that Rivalo explained their decision by stating the player’s friend made at least one of the same wagers.
The player and the friend were allegedly not circumventing the wagering limits.
SBR has asked if the player and his buddy placed the wager from the same location. Online sportsbooks have become quite proficient at identifying such activity, and have been known to react aggressively if the activity is not seen as buddies sharing plays, but in fact an attempt to pop the sportsbook for an extra bonus or circumvent house limits.
SBR will update this report as more information is provided by the player, and with any comments Rivalo shares concerning the situation.
The online sportsbook is part of the sportsbook blacklist for previous handling of player disputes. SBR reported on January 3rd that Rivalo threw the rulebook at a player in a complaint involving a $1,370 balance; Rivalo would not specify what the player’s infraction was other than to cite all of their terms and conditions.
