The winners of the annual Gaming Intelligence Awards were revealed this week in London, with Gala Coral and Playtech leading the charge with two awards each, while Scientific Games and NetEnt retained their crowns for a second year.
The GIAs reward the excellence of the online gambling industry’s leading operators and suppliers, as well as presenting a special award for the industry’s most socially responsible company.
The Awards were presented at ICE Totally Gaming at London’s Excel Centre on February 2nd.
Scientific Games took home the Lottery Supplier of the Year award for the second consecutive year after a phenomenally successful 2015.
Gavin Isaacs, Scientific Games’ President and CEO, commented: “It is an honour to be recognised as the ‘Lottery Supplier of the Year’ by Gaming Intelligence and its well-respected panel of judges. We believe this recognition is the result of our investment in market-leading innovation, world-class customer service, and powerful consumer research and analytics to help lottery operators continue their growth. We are proud to be a trusted supplier to such an entertaining, generous and vibrant industry.”
The GIAs also feature a number of relative newcomers alongside the industry giants, such as LeoVegas, which scooped the Casino Operator of the Year award.
“We are delighted that the gaming industry have crowned LeoVegas as the leading casino operator,” said chief executive and co-founder of LeoVegas, Gustaf Hagman. “Mobile makes gaming more fun – and LeoVegas is all about the greatest gaming experience.”
Gaming Intelligence editor in chief Bobby Mamudi commented: “It is great to see some of the industry’s most established operators and suppliers continue to lead the way through strong technological innovation and an unwavering focus on better serving their customers. It is equally impressive to see the impact that relative newcomers have had on the industry. Congratulations to all our very deserving winners and huge thanks to our panel of judges for their invaluable contribution.”
