An Otobet Sportsbook (SBR rating D) player has filed a complaint.
The player has a balance of €4,700 with the online sports betting site.
He claims to have submitted all documents required for him to satisfactorily pass the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, however, he has received only a refund of his initial deposit of €175.
In a letter explaining the decision, Otobet wrote the following:
“Security Department, after deep verification procedure, refused to verify user account. According to that decision user account will be closed.Your deposit (175 EUR) will be returned to Your Neteller account given during verification.”
Otobet allowed the player to run his balance up to €4,700 before determining that his account was unfit for KYC. SBR has asked the online sportsbook for comment.
