Otobet Sportsbook (SBR rating D) has addressed the complaint reported by a player who claimed that his €4,700 balance was confiscated.
The online sportsbook has claimed that the player provided ID documents which contained details originating from an ID of another account-holder, suggesting that the ID was in fact forged.
Per Otobet’s terms pertaining to fraud – sections 1.14 and 2.3 of their terms and conditions – the account has been blocked from their gaming site and winnings voided.
The player has received a refund of his starting deposit. Online sportsbooks are expected to return the starting deposits of players who have allegedly engaged in fraud so as not to profit from fraudsters.
