GamCare to receive generous donation from Royals’ principal partner…
Another massive thank to all those who bid on the signed match-worn first team poppy shirts in support of The Royal British Legion.
And, courtesy of our Principal Partner Casumo, not just one charity will benefit from Royals fans’ generosity!
The total sum that the auction raised was an amazing £6,317 and, as we also marked Responsible Gambling Week earlier this month, Casumo promised to match the total amount raised in that auction and donate another £6,317 to responsible gambling charity GamCare and its BigDeal youth outreach programme.
Responsible Gambling Week is a public awareness campaign to trigger a national conversation about what it means to gamble safely.
GamCare’s BigDeal programme offers free interactive workshops for young people to give them the facts about gambling, as well as free CPD accredited training for frontline professionals so they can support young people around gambling and identify any potential harms for them and their loved ones. The programme is supported by a dedicated online resource for young people, parents and teachers at www.bigdeal.org.uk.
Our friends at Casumo would like to thank supporters for their bids in the auction, helping to raise such an incredible amount for charity.
And Casumo are also planning to lend support to their commitment to responsible gambling by changing the logo to the CasumoCares branding on the front of our first team shirts for our home match against Birmingham City at the start of next month.
