Malta-based Casumo has expanded its portfolio by launching an online sportsbook in the UK.
The launch was confirmed by Casumo today (January 6), although the sportsbook has welcomed new customers since December 20, a spokesperson for the operator told iGamingBusiness.com.
To mark the launch, new customers are being offered a £10 free bet for any qualifying bet of at least £10 on any pre-match or in-play sports market.
“It’s a clear and straightforward offer, which is aligned with the experience that the product has been developed to provide sports betting made simple,” Casumo’s UK country manager Greg Tatton-Brown said.
“I am excited to be able to bring Casumo’s approach to UK sports fans. We have put the player front and centre in the development of a sportsbook product that is approachable and user-friendly.”
The multi-platform product, using technology from Kambi, allows customers to personalise their betting experience by selecting their favourite sports and leagues on their device, whilst dropping others from view.
The new launch comes seventh months after Casumo signed up as an official partner of EFL Championship football club Reading in England, giving the company a presence in the country’s sports landscape.
Aside from benefiting from front-of-shirt branding with Reading, Casumo has worked with the club on several initiatives, including offering a matchday bus to ferry supporters to and from a game on Boxing Day.
The operator has also supported special events surrounding Armistice Day and the Rainbow Laces inclusivity campaign, while half of Casumo’s posters around the stadium and programme adverts have been dedicated to spreading awareness of responsible gambling.
“With Reading FC, we wanted to use the sponsorship platform as a way of bringing our brand values to life, in support of a team and community that we care about,” Tatton-Brown said.
The sportsbook launch in the UK represents a further expansion for Casumo, which also offers online casino products.
Last April, Casumo, which began operating in 2012, sealed a five-year licence to expand its service offering into Denmark, just months after securing approvals in the Italian and Swedish markets.
