iGaming software supplier and white label solutions provider EveryMatrix has enhanced its OddsMatrix service to help customers move into the esports betting market.
EveryMatrix added esports to its OddsMatrix service in 2019, but has seen an increase in demand from clients in recent weeks due to the dip in traditional sports betting activities as a result of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) global pandemic.
The outbreak has led to the cancellation and postponement of a whole host of major sports events around the world, with punters significantly limited as to what they can bet on.
As such, the EveryMatrix has expanded its OddsMatrix service to include a new Esports Hosted Solution, which it said will enable bookmakers to direct sports punters to esports by adding an extra tab or menu item with an esports offering fully hosted and managed by OddsMatrix.
EveryMatrix said that the new esports solution can be integrated with existing sportsbooks and mobile apps in two weeks.
The EveryMatrix esports offering covers over 8,000 events and 5,000 live events each month, with video streaming available for over 90% of live events. Among the games featured in these tournaments are FIFA, NBA2k, CS:GO, LOL and Dota.
“Along with virtual sports, esports are very much in focus during this sensitive situation,” EveryMatrix group chief executive Ebbe Groes said. “For esports, we’ve seen an enormous increase in turnover in the past weeks, and we’re expecting to see the numbers go up even more.
“This is a clear indicator that esports are ready to step up into the mainstream and can also appeal to regular bettors, not only to computer games enthusiasts.
“In particular betting on sports-based computer games such as FIFA and NBA2K are extremely popular as an easy cross-over for traditional sports players. This can generate much-needed revenues in these wobbly times.”
The launch of the enhanced service comes after EveryMatrix last week expanded its range of virtual sports games to help operators increase betting options, build new revenue streams and keep players engaged during the shutdown of sports events.
EveryMatrix already offers products from the likes of Global Bet, Betradar, Kiron, NSoft, Golden Race and Leap Gaming via its CasinoEngine platform. New games will also be made available to sportsbook and online casino operators via one integration with CasinoEngine.
This week, the Formula 1 motor-racing series also launched a new esports competition in place of the races that have been postponed as a result of the outbreak of coronavirus.
