Scout Gaming launches €1m fantasy Premier League game

B2B fantasy sports supplier Scout Gaming Group will follow last year’s Premier League season-long fantasy contest, The Quarter Million, by offering a guaranteed prize pool of €1m (£910,935/$1.2m) for the 2020-21 season.
50,000 places will be made available to at a price of €25 each, with 1,250 prizes paid out including a jackpot of €200,000 to the winner.
Prize money will be awarded for the best manager both per month and per game week. A separate tournament for high rollers will run alongside, with seats going for €2,625 (approx. £2,390/$3,067) each.
“We are very pleased on a global basis, for the first time ever, to be able to offer life-changing prize money for the upcoming start of the Premier League,” said Andreas Sundal, chief product officer and co-founder of Scout Gaming, said
“Outside the United States, the Premier League is considered the world’s largest fantasy sport, the official Fantasy Premier League game that is free to play and currently attracts between 6-7 million players has experienced strong growth in recent years. Because of this and the general interest from our partners, it is possible for us to provide this record prize”.
Scout provides fantasy sports betting on a range of sports and leagues, including esports, baseball, MMA, American football, tennis, and cricket, including games within a number of local leagues globally. In addition, it offers games such as fantasy points duels and over/under – allowing fantasy players to compete against one another even when playing on different sports.
