Online football stock market Football Index has entered into a partnership with responsible gambling platform beBettor to use affordabilty checks to improve its player protection safeguards.
Under the agreement, Football Index will use beBettor’s geo-affordability data to tailor customer interactions to individual users, and ensure players do not spend beyond their means.
The deal comes after Football Index last month also launched its new gambling awareness initiative with English Championship football club Nottingham Forest, in an effort to promote the importance of safer gambling.
“We’re excited to announce partnering with beBettor in this critical area of affordability; their geo-affordability check allows us to understand more about our customers earlier,” Football Index chief executive and founder Adam Cole said.
“This partnership further strengthens our safer gaming frameworks and illustrates the importance we place on player safety, which is at the heart of our business.”
beBettor chief executive Harry Cott added: “The team at Football Index have been brilliant to work with and it has been exciting to see how our affordability data services compliment and strengthen their responsible gaming frameworks.
“Affordability continues to be a focus of the regulator and we are glad to be able to assist Football Index meet evolving requirements.”
Earlier this year, beBettor appointed Clive Hawkswood, former chief executive of the Remote Gambling Association and current chair of Responsible Affiliates in iGaming, as a non-executive director.
