David Carrion named as Gaming1 CMO

Former marketing director of PokerStars David Carrion has been named the new chief marketing officer of Ardent Group’s B2B arm Gaming1.
Carrion joins having previously worked forSpanish casino group Cirsa, and The Stars Group, where he served as group director of performance marketing before becoming marketing director for PokerStars in 2017.
His tenure at The Stars Group saw him develop the strategy, teams and technology for SEO, PPC, paid social marketing, affiliate and display marketing operatoins, leading several award-winning campaigns.
In his new role, Carrion has been tasked with leading Gaming1’s international profile, and overseeing its data science team.
Commenting on his appointment, Carrion said: “I’m delighted to be overseeing one of our industry’s foremost data science teams and feel confident that Gaming1 can continue its impressive growth streak in the weeks and months ahead.

In August, Gaming1 released a suite of AI-powered responsible gambling tools, which aim to monitor customer behaviour and identify early signs of problem gambling using artificial intelligence and data machine learning technologies.
