BtoBet to power Oatbet sportsbook in Nigeria

Sports betting platform supplier BtoBet has made an agreement with Nigeria-based operator Oat Gaming Network, to power its Oatbet online sportsbook brand.

The agreement was made through BtoBet’s regional certified partner for Africa, STM Gaming, and will see Oatbet use the supplier’s Neuron 3 platform.

The platform will allow for the provision of local and international sports events and competitions, with pre-match and in-play betting markets, while promoting other verticals such as online and live casino, and a selection of virtual sports.

Sabrina Soldà, BtoBet’s chief marketing officer, said: “We are looking forward to long-term cooperation together, and will ensure that our betting solutions provide Oatbet with the necessary technological edge and flexibility to expand its market share in the coming years.

“I am also pleased that our technologies and betting solutions are being so much sought after in such a demanding market, making BtoBet the primary gateway to the market.”

Oatbet’s chief operating officer, Ikay Arigbe-Osula, added that BtoBet was the obvious choice for the operator given its presence in Africa and particularly in Nigeria.

“Market knowledge is fundamental for all those operators seeking to further expand their presence in any given market, and this is particularly true when it comes to Africa,” Arigbe-Osula said.

“In BtoBet we found the ideal technological partner who will provide us with the necessary market knowledge coupled with advanced technological means that will allow us to differentiate our brand by providing a player-centric betting experience to our customers.”

BtoBet was acquired in October by Aspire Global, for a total of €20m (£18.1m/$23.6m) in cash, in what it described as a key part of its growth strategy, offering a “major step” in creating an offering that covers the main elements of the B2B igaming value chain.

BtoBet has expanded its footprint globally this year, securing deals to supply its technology solutions to operators in Russia, Colombia and Venezuela, among others.
