Nordic igaming solutions supplier Finnplay Technologies has appointed Sari Aitokallio as its new managing director, after it was confirmed that Martin Prantner is to step down as chief executive.
Aitokallio is a founding partner of the supplier and had been serving as its chief commercial officer since March 2018.
Prior to joining Finnplay, Aitokallio had a spell as chief financial officer for a number of listed Finnish companies, including industrial machinery company Metso.
The appointment comes after Finnplay’s founder Prantner said he would step aside as CEO in order to focus on his new role as non-executive director and chairman of the supplier.
“I welcome the opportunity to lead Finnplay into this next exciting stage in its development as a world-class supplier to our industry,” Aitokallio said.
“Having recently been named one of Finland’s top growth companies and closing 2020 as our most successful sales year on record, I see the opportunity to sustain and support our growth.”
Prantner added: “Sari’s strong background and experience in international business and finance is a significant asset for Finnplay – especially now as we continue our strong growth trajectory, expand into new markets and partner with large established international operators.”
