Strive Gaming receives first US licence from Colorado regulator

TG Labs-owned platform provider Strive Gaming has received a temporary vendor major license from the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission, its first US state licence.

oloThe license will allow it to offer its services to operators that are also licensed in the state. The supplier added that it expects to receive authorisation in more states “in the coming weeks”.

“We have fantastic momentum at the moment, overdelivering on every single promise we’ve made internally and externally,” Damian Xuereb, president and chief commercial officer of Strive Gaming, said.

“Our Colorado license is a great and first step toward becoming licensed in many more states and it is a clear message to the market that Strive Gaming is exceptionally ready and open for business in the US and Canada.”

Earlier this year, European operator Betsson announced that it had acquired a 35% stake in Strive for $6.5m (£4.7m/€5.4m), in a strategic venture aimed at supporting its expansion plans in the North American market. Through the deal, Betsson’s sportsbook will include Strive’s player account management tools.

Last month, Strive appointed Max Meltzer, formerly chief commercial officer of Kambi, as its new chief executive.
