Strendus, the Mexican-facing online betting and gaming brand of Logrand Entertainment Group, has agreed a new sponsorship deal with Spain’s LaLiga.
Under the three-year deal, Strendus will serve as the official sponsor of LaLiga in Mexico.
This will ensure the agreement is compliant with new laws in Spain, with the country having recently introduced a ban on sports clubs striking advertising deals with gambling operators.
Clubs were forced to end Spanish-facing deals at the end of the 2020-21 season and banned from agreeing new partnerships.
LaLiga governs the top two divisions of club football in Spain.
“This agreement will allow us to be even closer to our fans in Mexico, share the passion of LaLiga hand in hand with Strendus and be present at different activations to celebrate and enjoy LaLiga,” LaLiga North America chief executive Boris Gartner said.
“For many years we have played with passion and shared it with viewers – we’re proud to share it now with Strendus consumers as well.”
Logrand Entertainment Group director of online operations, Lenin Castillo, added: “We are proud to hear the enthusiasm of consumers of the brand and football fans, for having successfully started this initiative that has always been designed for them, who will soon be able to recognize many more benefits of this alliance and of our platform.”
