Slovakian government-owned lottery Tipos has extended its partnership with the country’s Olympic and Sports Committee (SOŠV).
The agreement will run for five years and cover the next two editions of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, China, and Milan, Italy, as well as the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.
Tipos, which has supported the SOŠV for 10 years, will remain an exclusive partner of the organisation and continue to support athletes during their preparation for and participation in the Games.
In addition, Tipos will continue to work with the SOŠV to promote incorporating sport as part of a healthy lifestyles among children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens across Slovakia.
“We believe that our commitment will clearly state that Tipos is behind Slovak sport,” Tipos chief executive and chairman Marek Kaňka said. “At the same time, we see it as a more suitable solution for the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee itself, because it will feel more confident in planning its projects and activities.”
SOŠV president Anton Siekel added: “Together with our long-term partner, we want to continue to support top athletes to successfully represent us at the Olympic Games. At the same time, however, we want to develop and improve the sports environment in the Slovak Republic.
“We would like to bring people even closer to a healthy lifestyle, of which sport is an integral part. At the same time, we will focus on activities related to social responsibility and sustainability, which are values very close to the Olympic movement.”
