NBA All-Star Kevin Garnett joins BetMGM as brand ambassador

NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett has joined BetMGM as the sportsbook operator’s latest brand ambassador.

Garnett will be featured in BetMGM’s upcoming marketing campaigns, special events, social media content and sports betting promotions.

Garnett played for three teams—the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets—over the course of 21 NBA seasons. He made the All-Star team 15 times, was named Most Valuable Player in 2004 and won the 2008 NBA Championship with the Boston Celtics.

“I’m thrilled to be working with BetMGM to share their insights with my fans,” said Garnett. “It’s a natural fit for both myself and BetMGM given our mutual desire to stay on top of the ever-changing sports business landscape.”

This isn’t Garnett’s first foray into the gaming world. Recently, he co-founded Gaming Society, a gaming and content platform focusing on diversity and inclusion.

Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer, BetMGM, said, “Kevin Garnett brings a unique energy to everything he does, on and off the court. As the basketball season tips off, we look forward to welcoming Kevin to the BetMGM family and working with him on a variety of fan-focused promotions.”

Garnett becomes the latest in a long line of athletes and celebrities to become brand ambassadors for BetMGM. The company’s roster of ambassadors now includes hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, the NFL’s Marshawn Lynch, MMA personality Ariel Helwani, and movie star Jamie Foxx.
