Sports betting data business IMG Arena has entered a data and live streaming partnership with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).
Under the deal, IMG Arena will hold the rights to the LPGA’s official sports betting data and live streaming distribution.
From early this year, IMG Arena will offer a range of real-time, shot-by-shot data and markets via its Golf Event Centre, as well as live streaming and interactive course visualisations from the Tour.
Initial operator partners will include Bet365, BoyleSports and Tipsport.
“With the full LPGA Tour covered, this is a significant commercial partnership that helps grow the game with thrilling content reaching new audiences and driving fan engagement around the world,” LPGA senior vice president for global media distribution, Brian Carroll, said.
IMG Arena’s senior vice president for commercial, Max Wright, added: “Bringing women’s golf to the Event Centre has long been an ambition of IMG Arena. The LPGA Tour features some of the most talented athletes in the world and weekly tournaments of the finest quality, which will deliver a vast and compelling range of data-led sports betting content for operators and their players.”
The deal comes after IMG Arena last month became the latest member of the International Betting Integrity Association. Last year, its parent company Endeavor completed a deal to acquire Scientific Games’ sports betting division OpenBet for $1.20bn.
The agreement will see both organisations “strengthen their engagement on betting integrity and sports data distribution”.
