GiG finalises agreement with Ontario’s Casino Time

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) completed its agreement with Casino Time, having initially announced a head of terms deal with the Ontario land-based operator in November.

Under the agreement, GiG will provide its platform, sportsbook and omni-channel solution to the operator, the identity of which was not disclosed at the time of the original announcement.

GiG said Casino Time is expected to go live with its technologies during the second half of the year and will mark its fifth operator partner in Ontario since the Canadian province opened its regulated igaming market last year.

Casino Time is a joint venture amongst a number of retail operators in Ontario’s Charitable Gaming sector.

“Casino Time will deliver the personalised service and community experience that our retail customers in Ontario have come to expect, while expanding the product offering into exciting new territory, including bingo, slots, sportsbook and live dealer casino games,” Casino Time founder and chief executive D’Arcy Stuart said.

GiG chief commercial officer Marcel Elfersy added: “A growing presence in Ontario continues to reflect well on the strength of our products and technology in the region.

“Combined with our commitment to expansion in complex regulated markets globally, we’re demonstrating that we are well positioned to power the needs and aspirations of land-based operators looking to enter the online space.”

The agreement marks the latest in a host of deals for GiG in recent weeks, with the provider having also partnered with a land-based and digital casino operator in Switzerland and a European land-based operator since the turn of the year.

Last month, GIG also agreed to provide its platform solution to Joy Enterprise’s Playr.bet brand in Latin America.
