Football fans on Skybet in the UK will see the company’s first live streamed football matches Thursday evening when the Simplestream-powered service kicks off by delivering League 1 & 2 matches to their screens.
Multi-platform live streaming & catch-up TV service provider Simplestream has been chosen to support the streaming of all of the Sky Bet Championship, League 1 & League 2 Play-Off matches as the English 2013/14 football season draws to a close.
Beginning with the Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Derby County, the service will be subjected to a month-long trial with UK fans, who will be able to watch live the drama from all 15 matches on the Sky Sports television & digital platforms.
Conor Grant, product director at Sky Bet, described streaming all 15 games to Sky Bet customers as a really exciting initiative.
