Online gaming company Paf has announced that Anders Wiklund is to stand down as director in order to assume the role of chief executive officer of medical device firm Optinova.
Wiklund, who has served as director of Paf for the past two years, has spent a total of eight years with the company, which is based in the Åland Islands region of Finland.
Wiklund will remain in the role until September to allow Paf to find a suitable replacement and ensure a smooth transition.
“During my time with Paf I have had the privilege to work in many exciting positions, with many talented people which have helped me grow,” Wiklund said.
“Paf has been on an impressive journey where I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished, when it comes to responsible gaming, how we work, focus on the personnel in the organisation and, in the end, the profit all this has generated.”
PAF chief executive officer Anders Ingves added that he was “sad” because of the departure of “a loved and resourceful leader… [and] one of my closest work mates”.
Ingves added: “At the same time, in Paf we use the opportunity when someone leaves to look into working processes from different angles. This is how organisations develop and improve.”
