Athens-listed lottery solutions provider INTRALOT has reached an agreement with the District of Columbia Lottery and Charitable Games Control Board (DCLB) to extend its contract until March 2020. The latest extension means that INTRALOT has utilised all five of the one-year extensions available under the contract it signed in March 2010. The extensions are to begin from March 30th 2015, and will continue until March 29th 2020.
Under the amended terms of the partnership, INTRALOT will continue to supply the DCLB with its LOTOS O/S online gaming and instant ticket management computer system, including terminals, peripheral devices and a communications network to link retailer terminals across the district to the central system. It will also provide additional services such as marketing support, a helpline, maintenance and repair services, as well as field operations.
The executive director of the lottery Buddy Roogow commented that INTRAOT had been an extremely valuable partner to the DCLB.
“Their creative expertise and technical capabilities have allowed us to continue a leadership role in the industry by expanding our product line with new, exciting, innovative games and distribution channels, including interactive instant games played on player-activated terminals,” Roogow said. “With these new channels and games, we have increased our sales and player base without cannibalizing sales of other products.”
“We very much look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial partnership with INTRALOT through 2020,” he added.
Tom Little, president and chief executive of INTRALOT’s US subsidiary, said he was extremely proud to have been able to extend his company’s partnership with the lottery for a further five years.
He also praised the contribution of the supplier’s business and central systems operations subcontractor DC09, describing it as invaluable.
“Together we will continue to introduce new sales channels and innovative products and services to the District of Columbia to benefit those who live and work in the city as well as those who visit,” Little explained.
INTRALOT group chief operating officer John Pantoleon added: “Being chosen to continue offering leading technical and marketing solutions to the US capital is rewarding and motivating, as it recognizes our commitment to delivering significant value to our Lottery partners.
“With our trusted partner, the DCLB, we share the same strategy of innovation and social responsibility and we look forward to exceeding expectations and offering even more exciting new games to the benefit of the Lottery, the District and its citizens,” Pantoleon said.
