Online gaming and betting provider mybet Holding has agreed a deal to become the betting partner of German daily newspaper BILD for all matches in the Bundesliga top-tier domestic club football competition.
The one-year deal will run for the duration of the 2014-15 season.
Under the agreement, mybet will integrate betting boxes, teasers and other modules in the Bundesliga section of the newspaper’s desktop and mobile website.
In addition, mybet will receive advertisements in the weekly Sunday edition of the newspaper.
Florian Güde, online marketing director at mybet, said: “We are very pleased with our integration into BILD for the Bundesliga.
“It gives our attractive bets and odds a much greater reach, and we are confident of substantially increasing our market shares in the German-speaking world.”
The news comes shortly after mybet was named as one of a number of companies to have been awarded a German sports betting licence by the Hesse Ministry of the Interior and Sport.
However, the Wiesbaden Administrative Court in Hesse last week suspended the state’s sports betting licensing process following complaints from operators that were unsuccessful with their initial applications.
In addition to mybet, major operators such as Ladbrokes, bwin.party and Betfair have also been awarded licences in the country.
