XLMedia launches proprietary content management system

London-listed iGaming marketing firm XLMedia has launched a new proprietary content management system which it said will enable improved day-to-day maintenance of the company’s network of specialist content websites. XLMedia said that the development of Palcon is in line with its strategy to invest in technology in order to “continuously improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies, and maintain leadership in the sector.”

The content management system will enhance productivity and efficiency for XLMedia in Content and Search, its largest business unit, through the management of its extensive portfolio of 2,000 content websites.

Palcon includes a consolidated management system across all websites, enabling fast and dynamic updates and upgrades, comprehensive tracking support for website optimisation in order to analyse and evaluate changes based on the performance metrics, as well as centralised management allowing the group to leverage both efficiencies and cost savings.

XLMedia CEO Ory Weihs said: “We are delighted to have launched Palcon across our business. Our ability to innovate and deploy cutting edge technology will be central to our success, particularly as the adoption of mobile devices continues to proliferate the market.

“Our ability to both generate high quality content and manage that content in an efficient, scalable manner will play an important function as we accelerate a number of organic growth initiatives in the medium term.”

XLMedia said that Palcon will also “greatly enhance” both mobile and social penetration rates across the group’s ‘web estate’ with improved user experience for users through mobile devices.

XLMedia will continue to invest in additional capabilities and more specifically develop technologies to support mobile and tablet devices, with the development of Palcon presenting an “important step” in improving both tracking and performance capabilities for the company.

Content and Search is the largest business unit of XLMedia, representing 54 per cent of the company’s revenues in the first half of 2014. XLMedia owns more than 2,000 websites providing gambling related content in 18 languages to potential online players.
