Casino games developer Yggdrasil Gaming announced the imminent launch of Joker Millions, the supplier’s first pooled progressive jackpot, with the game expected to debut later his month. Joker Millions features sticky symbols and joker symbols, with users tasked with collecting the symbols to trigger a jackpot yb filling the screen. Players can also spin the reels to win the jackpot, which is expected to be as high as €1.3m.
Yggdrasil chief executive Fredrik Elmqvist described the launch as the next stage in the company’s development following the launch of its first 3D title Reef Run in October last year, and last month’s roll-out of The Dark Joker Rizes, the first title to launch on the supplier’s iSENSE 2.0 HTML5 framework.
“Progressive jackpots are an excellent marketing tool for operators, but we didn’t want to make Joker Millions all about the jackpot,” Elmqvist said. “Most online jackpot slots are low variance if you remove the actual jackpot from the equation, but Joker Millions also has very exciting elements in the base game.”
“While you are waiting for that jackpot spin there are also mystery joker wins that will take you closer and closer to the Joker Millions,” he added. “Our priority is always to produce engaging content and I’m sure players will love this game.”
Yggdrasil has seen its client base expand over the past year, signing deals with a number of Scandinavian operators such as Mr Green, LeoVegas, Betsson and Unibet.
