Canadian online lottery games developer Karma Gaming has signed a distribution agreement with OpenBet which will see its titles rolled out on the supplier’s iGaming platform. Karma will use the deal to bring what it describes as “episodic” lottery games such as Haunted Hotel and Secrets of the Pyramids into the European gaming market, alongside its Mexican-themed title El Lootchador.
“We are thrilled to announce our relationship with OpenBet, which enables us to distribute our games to a global audience, especially European markets,” Karma chief executive Paul LeBlanc commented. “We look forward to collaborating with OpenBet and utilizing their platform and extensive knowledge base, as we continue to create new and exciting content for gaming audiences.”
Karma has already launched titles for Scientific Games and GTECH, as well as signing a distribution agreement with platform provider Odobo.
The instant win games see players complete skill-based puzzles over different levels to win real-money prizes, as well as accessing bonus mini-games to solve mystery storylines running through the entire game.
The games, which are available for desktop, HTML5, Android and iOS devices, have been designed to merge aspects of social gameplay with iGaming titles, and have been developed through extensive analysis of free-to-play and real-money markets, Karma chief innovation officer Jay Aird explained.
“We look for emerging trends and points of crossover to create innovative new products,” he said. “Our next-generation games have proven to outperform the traditional instant win games in our lottery markets while also capturing a much wider audience demographic.”
