Pinnacle Sports (SBR rating A+) has received a gaming license by the Malta Gaming Authorita (MGA).
This news comes just two weeks after SBR reported that Pinnacle Sports announced new ownership.
Pinnacle has told SBR that their focus is on continued entry into additional global markets, specifically Asia.
A number of irons are reportedly in the fire both to upgrade infrastructure and the already famous betting product; a model which uses reduced, discount pricing instead of the traditional sportsbook bonus model used by many betting sites.
Speaking of the licensing by the Malta Gaming Authority was Pinnacle Sports CEO Paris Smith, who had the following to say: “We are excited to have secured a licence from one of the most trusted authorities in gaming. The endorsement secures an important foundation for our aggressive growth strategy for 2015 and beyond.”
The MGA also released a statement of their own confirming issuing the betting license:
“The Malta Gaming Authority is delighted to have one of the biggest brands in the gaming industry included in its licensing portfolio. The Authority is committed to continue delivering innovative solutions to address the ongoing evolution of the industry, and the challenges this brings along with it, with integrity and focus on consumer protection,” -MGA’s Executive Chairma Joseph Cuschieri
Pinnacle Sports is also licensed by the Government of Curacao.
