BetConstruct, a developer of online and land-based betting and gaming services, has been awarded a gambling software operating licence by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC).
The new licence will cover BetConstruct’s sportsbook product in the UK market.
BetConstruct filed for the licence in response to the UK’s revised regulatory regime, under which all software providers servicing the UK market must secure a licence from the UKGC.
George Voyatzis, commercial director at BetConstruct, said: “The UK market is a key market for BetConstruct and is central to our growth plans. We are pleased that our sports betting software has met the UK Gambling Commission’s high regulatory standards.
“This license is part of our overall licencing strategy and adds to our recently awarded Category 2 licence from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and our submission for Class 2 and Class 4 Licences from the Malta Gambling Authority.”
