New Jersey records further online gaming growth in April

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has revealed that the US state’s regulated online gaming market experienced further year-on-year growth during the month of April.

Online gaming revenue from operators in the state amounted to $12.6 million (€11 million), up 11% on the same month last year but slightly down on the $13.2 million achieved in March of this year.

The Borgata interactive gaming licence, which includes the Borgata, PartyPoker and Pala Interactive online gaming operations in New Jersey, continues to lead the market with approximately $4 million in revenue.

The DGE noted that total online gaming revenue for the four months through to the end of April stood at approximately $48 million, up almost 19% on the figure posted at the same point last year.

Despite ongoing success in the online gaming market, total gaming win in the state amounted to $186.3 million in April, down 4.1% on last year when taking into account the three casinos that have closed since April 2014.
