Online betting company 12Bet has moved to expand its commercial activity in the English Premier League top-tier football club competition by entering into a partnership with Swansea City.
The one-year deal will run for the duration of the 2015-16 season.
Under the agreement, 12Bet will become the club’s official betting partner and benefit from a branding presence at the team’s Liberty Stadium home ground.
The betting operator has already established a presence in the Premier League, having enjoyed partnerships with Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and recently-relegated Hull City in previous seasons.
“We have wanted to work with Swansea for some time now; it’s a well-run club and the commercial team there has really taken on board what we are trying to achieve with this sponsorship,” 12Bet chief executive officer Rory Anderson said.
“Between the club and ourselves, we have come up with some innovative ways to make this partnership stand out.”
Leigh Dineen, vice-chairman and commercial director at Swansea, added: “12Bet is an established global company that has built up an excellent reputation within the football fraternity in recent years.
“There are already some exciting projects in the pipeline as part of their official betting partnership and we are looking forward to working with everyone at 12Bet over the course of the campaign.”
