Under the multi-year deal, which marks the first of its kind in the US for PokerStars, the online poker operator will serve as an official sponsor of the Red Wings.
PokerStars and Red Wings will work together to offer players the chance to win prizes such as signed memorabilia, merchandise and tickets, as well as a range of fan experiences.
Red Wings branding will also appear on PokerStars’ marketing material, while the operator’s own logo will feature on various surfaces inside the team’s Little Caesars Arena during home games.
“Through this partnership, we look forward to delivering epic experiences for our PokerStars community, expanding on what we can offer our Michigan based players, as well as those across the rest of the US,” PokerStars US managing director Severin Rasset said.
PokerStars becomes the latest gaming brand to partner with the Red Wings in recent years. FanDuel Group, another business owned by Flutter, linked up with the team in April of last year to become an official gaming partner.
Elsewhere, online betting operator PointsBet began working with the franchise in January 2021, while BetMGM has also been working with the Red Wings for a number of years.
