Neil Alexander has joined PKR as its new chief executive. He takes over from Malcolm Graham who left the group at the start of the year after nine years with PKR.
Alexander previously held senior management roles at Sportingbet and Tipp24.
The 3D poker site also announced that it will close its French dot fr site on 22 July to concentrate its efforts on its dot com activities.
The news came out Thursday, the group said: “The French market unfortunately is not viable for PKR. Therefore we have taken the difficult decision to close pkr.fr to refocus our efforts on pkr.com’s fast growth for 2015 and beyond.”
The site will not accept new French players from 22 June and will close down on 22 July.
PKR’s decision on its French site is not surprising, cash game stakes in 2014 dropped 33% to €1bn over the course of the three years since 2011.
