Darren Lovern, formerly the head of online sports book operations at Paddy Power, has been appointed chief marketing officer of the Czech online & land betting company Fortuna Group.
Lovern spent over eight years at the Irish bookmaker, two as online operations manager & six as head of online sports betting.
Prior to his Paddy Power service Lovern was general manager at sports betting, casino & poker business Fusioneer Ltd for five years, & he was involved in professional services provision in Morocco for 2 years following a spell as a senior Consultant with the PA Consulting Group, & a period as a trainee accountant with PWC.
He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from University College Dublin, & a BComm, Commerce Accounting Marketing degree from the National University of Ireland in Galway.
