Walker takes on the role having previously served as UK managing director for William Hill, continuing in the role after 888 acquired William Hill’s non-US assets in July last year.
This role has been expanded to cover the enlarged UK and Irish operations of 888 William Hill.
Walker joined William Hill in January of 2019 as online managing director before he took on the UK-facing MD position with the operator in September 2020.
Prior to this, Walker was group chief operating officer at the Gibraltar Stock Exchange, while he also spent over two-and-a-half years with Ladbrokes Coral Group, first serving as chief marketing officer before becoming managing director of sports brands.
Earlier in his career, and prior to the Ladbrokes-Coral merger, Walker served in a number of roles with Gala Interactive, including as marketing and customer operations director and managing director for remote gambling.
Aside from this, Walker spent time working in a host of senior roles for DSG International, B&Q, Littlewoods and Great Universal Stores.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as UK and Ireland managing director at 888 William Hill,” Walker said.
The appointment comes after 888, earlier this month, warned that it expects to report a 3% year-on-year decline in revenue for its 2022 financial year, partly due to increased UK safer gambling measures.
The operator also announced that Yariv Dafna is to step down as its chief financial officer.
