UK-based eSports specialist BigBit has partnered Cashplay to add real-money tournament options to the developer’s Race Team Manager: Top Gear Challenge game.
The deal enables BigBit to integrate real-money tournaments into its titles, with the latest update to the developer’s Race Team Manager game featuring the Cashplay real-money tournament option.
In Race Team Manager, the player lives the life of an up-and-coming team boss across various racing categories making his team win the championship. The new “Race for Cash” mode will allow players to match their skills with opponents from all over the world and win real cash prizes.
“We are extremely excited to work with Big Bit and take part in the success of such a popular title,” said Cashplay’s managing director Thomas Newman.
Founded in 2011, BigBit is based in Brighton and has developed a number of games including Race Team Manager, Towers, Tony Hawk’s Shred Session, Re-Volt Classics and Apptivity series.
The developer is headed up by several key members of video games developer Black Rock Studio who have worked on titles such as Split/Second and Pure for Xbox 360 and PS3.
BigBit studio head Ian Monaghan said that the company was excited by the proposition.
“We hope this will be the first of many Cashplay tournaments that will be integrated into Race Team Manager as it’s a perfect fit for our game,” he said.
