The Delaware Lottery has confirmed that the US state’s online gaming market posted month-on-month revenue growth in July, despite internet poker suffering further losses.
Online gaming revenue amounted to $142,083 (€128,419), which represents the highest monthly total since March of this year and a 30% increase on the amount posted in June.
However, July’s total is down 17.6% from the amount posted in the same month last year.
The Delaware Lottery noted that the state’s online poker market suffered further losses in July, with revenue down 8.2% on a month-on-month basis to $28,158.
July’s result represents the third consecutive month of decline for online poker revenue and is a long way short of the year-high of $48,552 posted in April.
Despite this drop, the state did experience a hike in revenue generated by video lottery games, with this result coming in at $75,319, surpassing the previous record of $68,038 set in April.
