New Jersey online gaming revenue up as Delaware struggles in September

New Jersey and Delaware have revealed a mixed set of online gaming results for September, with revenue up year-on-year in the former and the latter suffering its worst-ever month in terms of internet poker.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) said revenue from the state’s online gaming market amounted to $12 million (€10.6 million), up 17.3% on the $10.2 million achieved in the same month last year.

However, the amount does represent a slight drop on the $12.2 million posted in August of this year and is some way off the $12.5 million achieved in July.

The NJDGE also noted total gaming win for September came in at $230.1 million, up 10.8% from the $207.7 million posted in the corresponding month last year.

Meanwhile, the Delaware Lottery has revealed that the state suffered its worst-ever month for internet poker in September, with revenue amounting to just $24,523, just lower than the previous low of $25,607 in June 2014.

However, the state’s overall online gaming market is only slightly off the pace, with the $156,125 collected in revenue during September just behind the $158,979 generated in August this year.
