A MarathonBet Sportsbook (SBR rating B+) player has filed a complaint against the sports betting website.
The player has told SBR that he has been attempting to draw out his $350 balance since the 30th of June, 2015.
The player has obliged each request made by MarathonBet to photograph himself holding various documents next to his face. This type of request has become increasingly more common to satisfy the Know Your Customer (KYC) process at online sportsbooks.
Sportsbook Review released a report recently on why KYC is necessary at sportsbooks.
However, the player forwarded along numerous emails with MarathonBet which appear to validate that he has followed the instructions made by the sportsbook to produce said documents. He has been given no new information on the status of his $350 balance for several weeks, and has subsequently launched a complaint with Sportsbook Review asking for assistance.
MarathonBet player’s most consistent knock against the sports betting website has been delayed verification of documents, though there are no other outstanding payout complaints on file.
SBR has asked a manager with the online sportsbook for comment on the player’s complaint.
MarathonBet bettors in need of assistance are asked to submit a sportsbook complaint form with SBR.
