Swedish slots developer Quickspin has hired NetEnt’s former head of new business Paul Myatt as vice president of sales, giving him responsibility for the all of the supplier’s commercial operations.
Myatt joins Quickspin after five years with NetEnt, having joined the Malta licensed supplier in September 2010. He will report directly to chief executive Daniel Lindberg in his new role.
Before moving into gaming with NetEnt, he worked in the telecommunications industry, working for a division of navigation and mapping product manufacturer TomTom, and has also held roles with Orange and 3Com.
He joins at a time when Quickspin is significantly ramping up its business, launching its own gaming platform earlier this year through a partnership with Relax Gaming.
In the year to date, the supplier has signed agreements with more than 25 operators.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Paul on board,” Lindberg said of the new hire. “These are exciting times for us and he will bring invaluable experience to Quickspin. I am confident that he will play a key role in our future success.”
Myatt said he had been very impressed with Quickspin’s track record and its achievements since it was founded in 2011.
“It is an exciting role and a stimulating challenge to help grow the company even further,” he explained.
