bet-at-home enjoys revenue hike in first three quarters

betathome-logoOnline operator bet-at-home has revealed a year-on-year increase growth in revenue across its betting and gaming services during the nine months through to September 30.

Gross betting and gaming revenue in the three-quarter period totalled €87.5 million ($94.1 million), up 8.4% on the €80.7 million posted at the same point last year.

Profit before income tax was up by 28.8% from €17.9 million to €23.1 million, while bet-at-home also noted that it was able to increase its workforce by 2.8% in the period.

Marketing expenses were also slashed by 21.5% from €34.2 million in the nine-month period last year to €26.9 million this year, due to additional activities for the Fifa World Cup national team tournament last year.

In a statement, bet-at-home said: “Gross betting and gaming revenue again increased and the bet-at-home.com AG Group implemented further efficiency measures to reduce expenditures.

“As a result, earnings were clearly up year-on-year despite new taxes being levied since January 1, 2015.

“Based on the current situation and assuming that the regulatory environment will remain unchanged in the financial year 2015, the management board expects a slight year-on-year increase in gross betting and gaming revenue and confirms that from a current perspective, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation in excess of €25 million appears to be a realistic figure.”
