Delaware online gaming revenue up as poker suffers in October

The Delaware Lottery has announced that despite having recorded an increase in online gaming revenue during October, the amount generated by internet poker in the state fell to an all-time monthly low.

Revenue for online gaming in October amounted to $183,000 (€170,300), which represents the highest monthly total of this year.

The revenue figure is also an increase on the $130,300 collected in October last year, as well as the $156,100 generated in September of this year.

The Delaware Lottery also noted that new registrations amounted to 434 in October, the highest of any month this year.

Despite this growth, revenue from online poker activities fell to a new low, with operators only able to generate $24,030, which was less than the previous monthly-low of $24,523 set in September this year.

This month marks the two-year anniversary of Delaware moving to legalise certain forms of online gaming.
