A Cloudbet Sportsbook (SBR rating C+) player created a discussion at the bitcoin sports betting forum at SBR concerning error messages received when placing bets.
The player has reported that for much of the past week he has received an error message that prevents him from placing a bet: he places the rate of occurrence at 95%.
The player claims to have contacted Cloudbet concerning this issue and was advised that their staff are looking into it, but that subsequent emails were not responded to.
Two players responded indicating that this is also happening to them. One of the first responders to the issue expressed that he was debating when to post the same situation and is fearful that this is Cloudbet’s way of risk management due to his success there.
Typically, online sportsbooks that are exercising “sharp defense” would take measures such as placing smart players on delays where a manager had a chance to accept or reject a bet, or give the players inferior line sets than the general public. However, an outright error message is unusual.
Sportsbook Review has asked the Cloudbet player to write to mail@sportsbookreview.com with his account ID so that this can be looked into.
On November 21, SBR reported on a Cloudbet payout complaint. The player ultimately ended up receiving payment in two days, but he took issue with the advertising of “instant withdrawals”.
Cloudbet also was tardy grading a winning boxing wager and unresponsive to a player’s emails, prompting him to file a complaint earlier this month. The market was graded following SBR bringing the situation to a manager’s attention.
