A 1XBet Sportsbook player has filed a complaint.
The player has accused the Russian online betting site of stalling his $8,600 payout request without cause.
His account access was recently suspended by 1XBet. The player was asked to provide his ID documents, which he did, but then the bookmaker wanted to speak with him via Skype video chat.
He reluctantly agreed to go on video chat to establish that he is who he claims to be, and that his winnings are legitimate.
Since going on video chat, the player has said the online betting site has gone quiet, and his $8,600 balance is floating in the wind.
A second complaint against 1XBet is also outstanding: a player was accused of past-posting tennis wagers, a charge he denies. The sportsbook is considering resolving the complaint in the player’s favor, though the risk department believes the match integrity is in question.
